"FINE-APPLE": Live Performance 


This is a recording of our in studio performance of "Fine-Apple". Using a program called Max we were able to split up our audio and isolate as wellas mix slips of audio and video. For our live performance we also had a friend cutting up a pineapple (Fredrick) in the middle of the room. Depending on the mood set in the video/audio our freind would addjust his cutting style accordingly; aggressive, tame, or nothing at all. 

KAHOS


The idea behind this short abstract film was orignally about the habitual addiction of smoking. Upon finished the filming and editing of this project I came to find that it no longer became about the addiction but rather about the beauty behind the smoke filled screen. The hidden identy of my smoker, her nude skin, dark lips, billowing smoke, and show lighting all add to this films overall striking and elegant portrayal.

Tell me what you know about dreaming


This is a sample of a project I executed for my Time-Based class this past semster. Our job was to creat a abstract dream like state using audio. I started by asking people about what they know about dreaming and how their dreams affect their way of thinking or if they have any effect at all. I then transitioned into my interpretation of a dream like state. Through the use of audio manipulation in Audacity and the incorporation of drawn out silence, I was able to portray my thoughts on dreaming. 

"FINE-APPLE" 

 

For our final Time Based project this past semester we were asked to creat something in real time (a live performance aspect). My project partner and I nted to create a perfornace that would be both funny as well as enticing for our audience. We wanted to find a way to have our performance grounded by utilizing the same element throughout our performance but also have it appear in a clever way, continuously pulling the audience back and holding their attention. We tried to achieve this in our performance by playing with the idea of humanistic characteristics and manupulation; specifically personification and manipulation. And so we developed the character Fredrick, a rising star in the model world who was in fact a pineapple... or should I say "Fine-Apple".
